Who we are

PNW Boost is a digital studio serving small businesses across Oregon and Washington. Questions about this policy: hello@pnwboost.com.

What we collect

Only what you choose to send us through the quote form, the free website checkup or by email: your name, email address, business name, your website address (optional, in the checkup), phone number (optional), what you need, your budget range, which package we suggested to you, the language you would like the answer in, and your message. No accounts, no tracking pixels, no data bought from anyone.

When you submit the form we also record your IP address and the time of the submission. We use them to stop spam and abuse, never to profile you. Your IP address is saved with your request, appears in the notification email we send to ourselves, and is also sent to Cloudflare for the anti-spam check.

The form has one hidden field that people never see. It is there to catch automated spam. If something fills it in, your message still reaches us, marked for a person to look at rather than thrown away, and that mark is stored with your request.

The form also tells us which page of this site you arrived on, which page you sent it from, if you followed a link, which website sent you, and any campaign tags in the address you arrived with (the part after a question mark, for example utm_source). That is stored in your browser for the length of your visit and sent only when you press Send. It tells us which of our pages actually helps people, nothing about you.

While you fill in the form, what you have entered or selected is kept in your browser for the length of your visit, so reloading the page does not erase it. It is not sent anywhere until you press Send, and it is removed once we confirm your request was delivered, or when you close the tab.

If the first language your browser asks for is Spanish, Polish, Ukrainian or Russian, the English page offers a link to that language version. If you close that suggestion, choose a language, or come to the English page from one of those versions, your browser remembers it until you close the tab, so you are not asked again.

None of this uses cookies. There is no advertising network and no cross-site tracking.

The free website checkup

The checkup is a short interview at pnwboost.com/free-website-checkup/. It is optional: the quote form does the same job without it. The first screen asks for your name, business name, your website address if you have one, email address, phone number (optional), the kind of business you run from a short list, your budget from a short list, and one sentence about what brought you here. Like the quote form, it also records which page of this site you arrived on, which website sent you and any campaign tags in the address, as described above. Then we ask you up to four short follow-up questions, one at a time.

The follow-up questions are written by an AI language model (Claude, made by Anthropic). The AI writes the questions and a short summary of your answers for us. It does not give you advice, does not quote prices and does not answer for us. A person at PNW Boost reads everything you send.

What the AI receives is the kind of business, the budget range, that one sentence and the text of your answers, in the language you picked. We do not send it what you type into the name, business name, website, email or phone fields. Anything you write in that one sentence or in your answers goes to it as you wrote it, so please leave out anything you would not want an AI service to see. Each answer is cut to 500 characters before it is used.

We do not collect health information and we do not want it. The AI is told never to ask about it, and a question that mentions it is thrown away and asked again. If your answer to one of those follow-up questions looks like health information, our server replaces it with a short note before anything leaves us: the AI sees the note, the note is what we keep, and what you wrote is not stored. The one sentence you write on the first screen is different: it reaches us and the AI exactly as you wrote it, because it is what we answer, so please keep health information out of it.

We email ourselves twice: once the moment you send the first screen, so your request is not lost if you close the page halfway through, and once when the interview ends, with the questions and your answers. When the interview ends we also send you one confirmation email, in the language you picked, to the address you gave us. If the interview stops right after the first screen, because our AI is unavailable, has no question to ask, or we have already run our daily number of checkups, that confirmation does not go out, but your request is already with us and we still answer it. On a day when we reach our limit of outgoing emails, some of these emails, including the first one to us and your confirmation, may not go out; your request and answers are still saved, and we check saved requests and answer them. We do not add you to any mailing list.

The checkup uses the same anti-spam check as the quote form (Cloudflare Turnstile) and records your IP address and the time in the same way, for the same reason. It has no hidden field.

Visitor statistics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and to measure how fast pages load. It is cookieless. It stores nothing in your browser: no cookies, no local storage. It does not identify you by your IP address or browser string, and it does not follow you to other websites.

What it records is which page was viewed, how long that page took to load, and, if you arrived by a link, which website sent you. The part of a web address after a question mark is never logged. Your IP address reaches Cloudflare the way it reaches any website you open, and Cloudflare discards it at the nearest data center instead of storing it with the statistics.

We look at these numbers for one reason: to see which pages actually help people and which ones are too slow. No advertising network is involved, and none of it is sold.

How we use it

To reply to you, prepare your free quote, your checkup and your plan, and keep a record of our conversation. We do not send marketing emails unless you ask for them.

Sharing

We never sell or rent your information. We share it only with the basic services that run our business, and only as needed to serve you: Cloudflare (hosting, spam protection, storage of your request and cookieless visitor statistics) and Resend (delivery of our emails, including your checkup confirmation).

Anthropic writes the checkup questions. It receives the kind of business, the budget range, your one sentence and the text of your answers. It never receives the name, business name, website, email or phone fields, but whatever you write in your sentence and answers is sent as you wrote it. Under our commercial terms with Anthropic, what we send is not used to train their models, and Anthropic deletes it within 30 days, unless their systems flag it as a possible breach of their usage policy, in which case they may keep it for up to two years. Anthropic stores data in the United States; the processing itself may happen in other countries where Anthropic runs its service. We checked these terms on October 10, 2026.

How long we keep it

Your request, including the IP address and time it was sent, is kept for up to 12 months so we can find it again if email fails. Rate-limit counters used for spam protection are kept for one hour, and a counter of how many emails we sent that day is kept for 48 hours; neither holds anything about you. Submissions that our spam filter flags as suspicious are kept for the same 12 months as any other request, and are passed to a person to judge rather than discarded. Your checkup, that is the questions you were asked, your answers, the IP address and the time, is kept for the same 12 months. The conversation itself, which lets the page keep your place while you answer, disappears by itself after 24 hours. A counter of how many checkups come from one network is kept for one hour, and a site-wide count of how many checkups started each day is kept for two days. Neither holds anything about you. Beyond that, as long as needed to handle your inquiry or project, or as the law requires.

Your rights

Ask us any time what information we hold about you, including your checkup answers, and ask us to correct or delete it: hello@pnwboost.com. Write from the address you used, or tell us which address you used, and we answer within 30 days. Deleting means we remove your stored request and the notification email; anything we already sent you stays in your own mailbox. California residents have these rights under the CCPA. We honor them for everyone, everywhere.

Cookies

We use no cookies for tracking, advertising or profiling, and our visitor statistics are cookieless, as described above. The software that runs this site, and its security and caching tools, may set basic technical cookies that are needed for pages to load and forms to work.

Changes

Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
